You cannot live without water!  Water is the foundation of Life. The human body is made up of about 66% water. Your blood is made up of about 90% water. Any Improved Health Protocol starts with establishing a habit of drinking enough water for your body to function properly. It is the most important daily habit that will give your body the foundation to attaining Optimal Health and wellness.

Water helps your body:

  • Maintains normal body temperature
  • Helps maintain blood pressure
  • Helps maintain normal blood flow and Oxygen flow
  • Lubricates and cushions joints, spinal cord and other sensitive tissues
  • Improves Digestion, helps Bowel function and reduces water retention
  • Rids body of wastes through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements.
  • Boosts performance during exercise
  • Helps maintain proper muscle tone
  • Weight loss- More fat is used as fuel because the liver is free to metabolize stored fat.
  • All Organs function better including Brain Function and Kidney function
  • Improves skin and helps prevent sagging skin after weight loss
  • Endocrine glands function improves
  • Plus so much more!

How Much Water is Enough?

Your body loses about three quarts of water each day.  To prevent dehydration and throwing your body out of balance, you need to replace the water on a daily basis.  Do not drink Tap Water!  Be very careful of bottled water as it can be full of contaminants, bacteria or leached toxins from the plastic.  Look for glass bottles or get a reverse osmosis water filter.  Drink slowly throughout the day for better absorption and utilization.

On the average a person should drink eight, 8-ounce glasses every day.  That’s about two quarts.  However, the overweight person needs the additional glass for every 25 pounds of excess weight.  The amount you drink also should be increased if you exercise briskly, if the weather is hot and dry, if you are ill, if you drink coffee, tea, alcohol or if you take medications.  Water should preferably be room temperature or cool but not ice cold; It will be absorbed into the system more quickly.

If you stop drinking enough water, your body fluids will be thrown out of balance again, and you may experience fluid retention, unexplained weight gain and loss of thirst. Learn to love drinking water and you will experience overall better functions of all your body systems and better health and vitality.
